Natalia and Daniel’s love story began in the most unexpected place: a Swedish daycare. Even as children, Daniel’s affection for Natalia was evident, though his attempts to show it (like placing snails in her drawer!) may not have been fully appreciated. Fate brought them back together in seventh grade, where Natalia declared to her friends that Daniel would be her boyfriend. Little did she know how prophetic her words would be.

Over the years, their bond deepened, weathering the ups and downs of life. Even a brief time apart only reinforced what they already knew: they were meant to be. Daniel’s heartfelt proposal, made at the spot where their love story truly began, was a testament to the enduring connection they share.

*Note from 1 July 2022, marriages may be performed at the embassy in Paris provided that both parties are Swedish citizens and that at least one of the parties is resident in France. Neither party may have Swedish-French citizenship. The Church of Sweden in Paris has no right to perform legal marriages, but they can offer a church blessing.
