It’s A long journey
Story
Hi friends, just want to come on live to remind you it’s a long journey we are on. It’s a lot of steps to get where we want be and every step is as important whether you are out there in the spotlight or on social distance where no one can see you. And remember every step matters even in the slow moments like social distance. Actually, the first time I gave myself permission to be on a long slow journey was when I decided to listen to the same 15 minutes talk of wisdom for every day in 100 days. I discovered and rediscovered the wisdom in different ways each day. Afterwards I realized that the 100 days with myself where no-one could see me or give likes made have a clear understanding for both me as a human and in my business. In darkness I grow
Hi again friends, just want to jump on and tell you about this time when it was winter here in Sweden. I felt really stuck in my mind and in my creativity. This night I took my dog for a walk. It was dark, the snow crackled under my feet and my breathing immade. I stopped and looked up in the sky and I could see so many stars. I saw the moon and I even saw Venus. After standing there starring i just realized i can see the light so much clearer and see much further in to universe when I’m in darkness. I felt greater than ever. I told my mentor and he reminded me how a seed start to grow in the dirt, in darkness, and when the plant is ready it’s time for it to rise up thru the dirt and show its beautiful flowers in the light. Ever since, I know it’s the dark times I grow.

follow the Herd
Hi fellow creatives, I want to tell you about what acutally started my journey. A journey in the unknown. Two years ago I felt like I was running around with the photography herd. What I mean is if someone had a special wedding package I did the same, and I felt like I took similar images than everybody else. I wanted to feel I belong and liked. So I was running around with the herd as photography was given to me in it’s fully form and consumed it. I wasn’t really happy. I lifted my head and looked around me. I was curious what i could find where no-one else is running around. I left the heard. Giving myself a chance.

3 years ago I was in Lofoten, Norway. I helped my amazing friend at her photography workshop. She had this guest photographer who really made a big impact on me. At dinner he talked wildly to everyone, and he felt very present, engaged and saw everyone. Suddenly i stood up and looked at everyone and said “Sorry everyone, but I’m an introvert person and I’m out of social energy so I have to leave to be alone so I can fill it up again, and then he left. It went quiet, and I was like WOW can you do that?
Later I told him about how exhausted I sometimes felt during dinners or around many people and how I admire his honesty. Next day at dinner he did just the same. He stood up and said he had to leave and then he turned to me and said “Sandra, are you coming?”. I felt embarrassed at first, but I decided to rise go out of my comfort zone so I left dinner too. We sat in silence working on our computers, and after an hour he asked if I felt ok to go out again, and we did. When we gathered with the others he was loaded with attention again. It just reminds me about how we hold ourself contained to fit in, and free we feel when we break out of it.
